Harry Davenport founded Lawmark Advocates to build a firm in the traditional private-client mould — one that treats a family's legal affairs as a single, continuous relationship rather than a series of transactions. Over nearly three decades, he has advised some of the UK's most established families, alongside a growing roster of American HNI clients, on estates, succession, business ownership, and the increasingly complicated question of digital and investment wealth.
Educated at Cambridge and at Yale Law School, Harry trained at a leading London private-client practice before spending several years in New York with a U.S. litigation boutique. That transatlantic formation shapes his practice today: he approaches English and American legal questions side by side, and works fluently across both jurisdictions in partnership with local counsel.
His practice is defined by discretion and by judgment. Harry has acted for principals and family offices in contested estate and trust matters, business succession disputes, and several of the more demanding asset-recovery cases to reach the English courts in the last decade — including the tracing and recovery of significant cryptocurrency and digital assets following fraud, custodial failure, or the death of a key holder.
He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, a member of STEP, and a frequent speaker at private-wealth conferences in London, Geneva, and New York. He sits on the board of a UK charitable foundation and advises two family-office investment committees.
